From the Cross to the Moon
Jan 18, 2026 • Zach Painter
In this communion message, we are reminded that the work of Jesus meets us wherever we are, even between heaven and earth.
From the story of Buzz Aldrin taking communion on the moon to Jesus’ words in John 15, this message points us back to the foundation of our faith. Before progress, there must be abiding. Before fruit, there must be connection to the Vine.
Jesus gave His body and blood so we could be rescued from sin and raised into newness of life. He takes the broken pieces of our lives and forms something glorious. If you feel stuck, delayed, or overwhelmed, remember that even the greatest missions begin with slow, steady movement toward the launch pad.
