Mark and Kim have been Assemblies of God World Missionaries since 1995. They served 7 years in Angola before moving to Namibia in 2007. They served in Children’s Ministry development in Africa until 2018. In 2018, they accepted reassignment, joining a team the AGWM developed to minister in Melanesia and Polynesia. Mark and Kim are currently missionaries to the children of Fiji. They also partner with the Fijian Assemblies of God. Fiji is a fantastic hub for reaching the many Polynesian islands. The Gardners live in a farming community in Votua Levu, on the Island of Viti Levu. They have chosen to embed themselves in a neighborhood where they are surrounded by Hindu neighbors.

The Gardner’s definition of Children’s Ministry is not just ministering to children, but includes the intentional involvement of children in ministry. They provide Ministry Platforms for children so that they will be trained and ready to minister to all! The emphasis of their ministry has been on winning children and youth to Christ and on training churches to do that as well. Mark and Kim translated children's church and camp curriculum into the Hindi language for the Indian churches in the Pacific. They are surrounded by Hindus, please be in prayer with Mark and Kim that their neighbors would come to Christ and that the Indian churches would be fruitful in discipleship.

From Mark and Kim, a testimony of the Easter outreach:

We went to the village of Waiqanake to partner with Pastor Seru Rokosawa and his church on the island of Viti Levu (near the capital of Fiji - Suva). We were there by invitation to teach the children about Easter, as Easter is one of the celebrated holidays in Fiji. We did school assemblies Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with village outreach in the evenings, a "Fun Day" on Saturday, and end with a program at the church on Sunday. Each day between 100 and 150 kids attended. We appreciated the prayers because the days just prior to our travel was flooding rain. There were low pressure systems and a cyclone that passed by Fiji dumping precipitation all over. I believe it was the prayers of the saints that gave us a window of blessing where we were able to do all of our school programs as well as the Funday with great, perfect weather. Only on Sunday afternoon did we get blasted with rain which cut our numbers down.

It was in the Father's hands though, and we gave thanks because we wanted to demonstrate to the church what an altar call for children looks like. ***

Thanks for sending us here to engage these kids at their school, and the teachers as well. Thanks for allowing us to also demonstrate what a children's church service and an altar time for kids looks like. I believe there were so many transformed hearts and lives and what a privilege it was to be part of that.

Thanks again for keeping us in prayer. It's only through prayer that the lost are found, and Christ is made known to those in darkness over here, and over there.
